The Drug Screening Options We Offer

At National Drug Screening, we provide our customers with a number of different drug testing options to best suit their needs. In addition to the tests we offer, we also provide Drug-Free Workplace consultation to businesses in Florida and across the United States. Some testing programs work better for certain businesses opposed to others, and it is important to do your research and make sure your program is compliant with your industry’s standards. Here is a look at some of the most popular drug screening options that we offer:

5 Panel Test
This test is the most basic of the panel drug testing options. Five panel tests are effective and they are trusted by the DOT and the federal government to test for the following drugs:

  • Marijuana
  • Cocaine
  • Opiates
  • Amphetamines
  • PCP

10 Panel Test
Ten panel tests are just an extension of the five panel test and they serve the same purpose. Both test for a number of different drugs with the use of just one sample, but ten panel tests cast a wider net. Depending on the requirements of your industry, the ten panel test could be beneficial for you and your business. Think of it as digging up the dirt with a slightly finer comb.

Alcohol Testing
Alcohol testing is a requirement of the DOT industry and National Drug Screening can provide you with all of the alcohol testing needs you have.

  • Breathalyzer- This is the most well known form of alcohol testing because it is used by roadside police to see if a driver is currently impaired. The device they use needs to be approved by the NHTSA and it needs to meet the necessary requirements for use.
  • Urine Testing- Our laboratories can detect the presence of ethyl alcohol in a urine sample. This is not the most effective way to tell if a driver is currently impaired, but the service is beneficial for certain industries.
  • EtG Testing- This is the best way to track whether a person has consumed alcohol within the past five days. This testing method is popular amongst rehab facilities to check up on recovering alcoholics after their treatment. It is also not recommended for workplace drug testing.

Hair Follicle Testing
Hair follicle testing gives the drug screening facility the ability to go deeper into a subjects past. The test can be done with head or body hair and it is effective in detecting drug use for up to 90 days after consumption.

You don’t have to feel like your drug screening program is entirely on your shoulders. As we said earlier, we provide expert consultation to businesses all across the United States and we would love to get you started.
