We get calls every day from people who need probation drug testing. Many times it’s the individual’s first time having to schedule such a test. In this video, we provide some important details on what you know before requesting a probation drug test.
Regarding probation drug testing, there are hundreds of tests, and there is no standard probation drug test, so it is critical that you are able to tell us exactly what you need.
An overwhelming majority of our probation drug test requests are for five-panel drug screenings or five-panel drug screening with alcohol testing.
If alcohol testing is added, then an EtG Alcohol Test would be required. This can be done with urine, which has an 80-hour lookback or with hair, which has a 90-day lookback.
Five-panel drug screen tests are commonly used to check for Marijuana (THC), Cocaine (COC), Opiates (OPI), Amphetamines (AMP), and PCP
5-Panel, 10-Panel and EtG Drug Tests for Probation Drug Testing
Our 5-panel drug screening tests can also include additional specimen validity testing and expanded testing for MDMA and ecstasy, methamphetamines, 6-Acetylmorphine (6 AM – a metabolite of heroin), morphine, codeine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, hydromorphone, and oxymorphone. Our drug testing specialists here at National Drug Screening will work prudently with you to provide you with exactly what you need individually or for your business.
The industry has a standard panel of drugs typically in the 10-panel drug test. This panel includes AMP-Amphetamines (including MAMP-Methamphetamine, MDMA-Ecstasy); COC-Cocaine: OPI-Opiates (including codeine, morphine, and heroin); PCP-Phencyclidine; THC-Marijuana; BZO-Benzodiazepines BAR-Barbiturates; MTD-Methadone; PPX-Propoxyphene; and Meth – Methaqualone.
While we offer the 10-panel drug test, this type of testing is available for different numbers of drugs depending on the professional requirements a company may have. There are 5, 7, 10, and 12-panel drug tests available on the general market, but all of them fulfill the same function; with just one sample, they can screen for a select number of drugs.
In some cases, the court system requires that the individual is to have the drug test under direct supervision and observation. This means that a lab administrator of the same sex will observe the donation of the sample to be tested.
When an individual schedules the probation drug test, they should specify if they require direct observation so that we can make sure the testing facility can accommodate that need.
