Bill Current is the President and Founder of the Current Consulting Group, LLC (formerly known as WFC & Associates), a national consulting firm specializing in compliance, business development and operations services in the employee screening industry. Mr. Current has worked with many leading providers of employee screening services to help them accurately identify their business objectives, bring new products and technology to market, develop strategic marketing plans, and improve growth and profitability through strategic marketing, sales and acquisitions.
He also has worked closely with many Fortune 500 companies, as well as small businesses throughout the country, in the establishment of comprehensive, objectives-oriented substance abuse prevention programs designed to maximize return on investment.
Mr. Current is the former Executive Director of the American Council for Drug Education and Director of the Institute for a Drug-Free Workplace at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He served as Vice President of Consulting for a national third-party administrator of drug testing and background screening services where he managed a staff of attorneys, policy specialists and trainers. He founded WFC & Associates in 1998 and changed the name of the company to Current Consulting Group, LLC in 2014.
He is the author or co-author of 10 books on substance abuse prevention and drug testing issues, including the popular titles: A Guide to State Drug Testing Laws & Legislation, Does Drug Testing Work?, Creating a Family Policy Against Drugs, and In Favor of a Drug-Free Workplace: Why Drug Testing?
